A ten-run seventh inning propelled the Green Isel Irish over the Hawks 16-7 at Hawk Field. The Hawks held a 7-4 lead going into that inning on the strength of 12 hits. Clint Aretz had a big night with three hits followed by Justin Perlich and Tim Willems with two each. Willems got the start on the bump and didn't dissappoint going 5 innings and keeping the Irish in check. He tired however and gave way to Spencer Nelson and Alex Kroells who couldn't keep the Irish off the base paths or in the ballpark. Hawk pitchers where not helped by horrible fielding as they committed six errors. The Hawks now travel to Young America on Saturday, July 9 at 4:00 for their only meeting vs. the Cardinals this season.
