A pair of Hamburg veteran pitchers combined for a shutout as the Hawks defeated the Glencoe Brewers 1-0. The winning run scored with two outs in the bottom of the ninth with Clint Artz scampering home on a wild pitch to end it. Darran Greene worked the first five and Mike Mueller the final four to gain the win the game. Brewer starter Jaimie Paumen was also worhty of mention as he scattered only three hits and pitched the entire game. It was Lion's nigth at Hawk Field.
